我編制在基1282號拖船上,一早七點三十分到港勤中心直接到船上向船長報到並認識其他成員與被認識,此時拖船正在暖俥中,大夥在沙龍喝茶聊天,等候出勤通知。
這拖船的人員編制是5人,船長、輪機長、機匠、兩名水手。
八點時對講機傳來出勤的通知,便立刻動起來到達各自崗位備便,每位成員皆要我觀看不需要參與並注意安全,意思就是見習,看著資深船員悉心的示範與解說。

我對機匠在拖船上的工作內容也很感興趣,輪機長帶著我講解切換岸電到整個船上電路切換的程序走一遍,及相關發電機、空壓機、冷卻系統等設備關機步驟。
我問了一個之前聽到一位退休拖船船長在台北港因舵機跳電而又不來電,導致拖船操控失靈直直衝撞碼頭的事件,向輪機長請教問題如何防範,所以輪機長又講解了舵機系統與緊急用電系統,輪機長曾經擔任許多港勤拖船的監造,對船上系統知之甚詳,又是個極好的講師,講解的非常清楚明白。

不一會兒,大夥聊起我要接替誰的位置,才發現我跑錯班了,應該是另一班,但船仍是基1282號拖船沒錯,哈哈,挺爆笑的,我弄錯了,但也與這一班船員結了緣,下次上班就是要與這一班交接換班。
